Back in Lufkin, and loving it...for the most part.
I spend my days educating the "leaders of tomorrow" at Lufkin High School and spend my nights trying to balance a grown-up career with a twenty-something social life. Sound difficult? ...It usually is.
Aside from the fact that I'm separated from the people that inhabited my life day-in-and-day-out the last four years in College Station, I'm very content with life at the moment. No, I didn't move off to the big city like I had imagined doing, but the longer I've been back in Lufkin, the easier it has been for me to transition back into small town life. High School football on Fridays. Family dinners every week. Relatively laid-back attitudes. It's really familiar, and I like it.
