Officially a HOMEOWNER

This is so surreal. I'm still not used to all of the space that our little family has now. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living room, a dining room, a spacious kitchen, a game room, a garage, and a back-yard - - MUCH better than a tiny one bedroom apartment. Leroy is completely acclimated to his new home, and Chase and I are getting there; I think it'll take a little time for the fact that we OWN this HOUSE to truly sink in.

Everything has been moved into the house, but not everything has been moved out of the boxes. We're unpacking and settling in slowly, but surely. Some of the decorations are hung, but there is much more wall-space to fill and a few more pieces of furniture to buy. We also have to tackle painting soon, because the green in the master bedroom, pink in the "office", and blue in the guest room MUST go. Changing the green in the kitchen isn't of top priority, but I'm sure it will be changed soon, too. We just bought a new TV because the original (32") one I bought for the apartment "wasn't big enough" for the living room. We got a great deal on a bigger flat screen, so we've upgraded...and I honestly agree that this size fits MUCH more nicely. After a few meltdowns, screaming matches and trips to Lowe's, the washing machine and dryer both work, so we've avoided that unexpected hassle and expense. The satellite was set up on Tuesday, but we still won't have internet until the 22nd. We're trying to wait patiently...but it's becoming increasingly more difficult every day. Having an ice maker, a working garbage disposal and an oven than heats evenly (and to the temperature you actually request) is wonderful; I had definitely missed these little niceties. Also, I'd like to personally thank whoever invented Jacuzzi bathtubs, because I'm officially in love with mine.

I'm sure I'll have many more stories, both good and bad, about our housing adventure...but for now, pictures of the work-in-progress :).

Living Room - The view when you walk through the front door

The rest of the cozy living room

The foyer ;)
...missing a hallway table.

The dining room.
Please excuse the clutter...

Kitchen!
See what I mean about that green?? :
Oh! and a Bistro table is coming soon!

The guest room.
We really haven't done anything to this room since the day we moved in.
This is my next project!

The game room!
This is Chase's territory to decorate how he pleases.
There will be a pool table and bar in here soon.

More game room.
Mounting that TV on the wall was SUCH a pain.

More game room...
Or as Chase has named it : The "Beauty and the Beard" Pub

The "office".
Right now, this is also the Catch-All for other peices of furniture.

The master bathroom.
Goodness, I love that tub. :)
