We finalized the contract on the house! YAY! The home-owners paid for some of the repairs, and we had it re-inspected (is that even the correct terminology? who cares) and everything is great aside from the minor repairs we'll have to do once we close. Now, all there is to do is wait on the bank to get back to me with the information I need from them, so that we can get them the rest of the paperwork that they need. it's a constant back-and-forth game...and it's exhausting. Keep your fingers crossed that we're in by Super Bowl Sunday :).
I've been working out like CRAZY lately. Jillian Michaels is kicking my butt, but I'm sticking with it this time. I guess all I needed was the image of myself in a wedding dress for motivation. I've posted "skinny" pictures of myself all over the apartment (especially the refrigerator...ya know, as a deterrent. haha) and I'm trying to develop healthier eating habits. I will look like this again - maybe even better:
The wedding planning has begun...I think. There is always a lot of talk about guest lists and centerpieces, and as much as I'm enjoying it, I'd like to start planning this shindig for real, but that's difficult to do without a set budget. I'm just kind of nervous to talk "money" with my parents because, as of right now, it's stress-free dreaming/planning. I know that we need to have the budget talk so that real planning can begin, but the thought of that conversation stresses me out.
Oh...and I'm still completely giddy about being engaged. I find myself getting distracted by the sparkle while I'm driving, teaching, talking (with my hands, of course), and pretty much doing anything. I'm getting to marry the love of my life.
Life. Is. Good.
